Sunflowers in bloom


I was working at the newspaper last weekend when photographer Cathy Coward mentioned a great field of sunflowers in prime bloom on Highway 6 North of Hamilton.

I headed down this week to take a look, and she was right, they were in their glory. The field is right along the highway and pulling over and getting out of your car is not for the feint of heart.

I had a chance to try the new Sony NEX 5 camera with the 16mm prime lens. I also had the Fisheye adapter that fits on the NEX so did a few shots with that combo.

This shot is taken with the 16mm lens and the fisheye adapter attached.
