Same shot with A57 and A65, different ISO levels

I had the Sony A65 and A57 over the weekend. I thought I would post a shot taken with both cameras at each ISO. The lens was the 100mm Sony Macro. These are jpegs right out of the camera.

My wife asked why I had to do this on my day off. I guess I need to get a life.

  1. I did have the White balance set different so I could tell them apart at a glance. One was AWB the other open shade.

  3. I liked your sequence with the A57 and the dining room. I could clearly see the noise change in the green wall as the ISO changed. Without a smooth surface in the stone arch sequence, I cannot tell what the noise looks like. I am hoping to see an A/B comparison with something more like your dining room from someone soon.

  4. Hi Rob, I am confused between buying an alpha 57 or 65. I don't mind paying the extra bucks but I am worried about the low light performance of the a65. Can you help me in deciding ?

  6. I would take the A57 myself. I like the frame rate and the sensor size... 16mp is enough for what I'm doing.
