Easy guess if you've been there, not so easy if you haven't.
First casualty of the trip was the battery in the Zeiss Ikon. I should have grabbed the silver model. I had just put fresh batteries in that one, but no, I brought the black camera and the battery died after half a roll.
Now I have to bring the entire family to Le Grand Format camera store to get a new battery. Oh well, I'll have fun drooling over all the latest/coolest LF stuff.
Today's best shot was done with the A550 and the Zeiss 24-70mm F2.8. It's the arch at the Arc de triomphe.

Hi, Rob
ReplyDeleteLooks like you really like the A550 a lot. Tell us why? I have the A200 and A700, should I upgrade to A550 for my wife?

I do like the files I'm getting from the A550. It seems to be way better in low light than any of the other models including the A900. The camera has a great set of features including a vertical grip and live view, which is more useful than one might expect.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to have all the features of the A700 plus a few more. It would be nice if it was metal though. The size is great as well, making it a little easier to lug around.
