Using Live View overhead


This was the most ridiculous photo I've taken in years.

I saw this squirrel sitting on the neighbours fence. I stood on my back step and tried to get a photo of him with the 300mm lens.

I was too far away so I walked up to him but then I couldn't see the squirrel because the fence was too high.

I turned the camera onto LiveView and pointed the screen straight down, then I hoisted the camera up on the mono pod as high as I could reach. I lined up the squirrel with the LiveView and grabbed a couple frames.

This was shot with the Sony A500 and the Sony 300mm G F2.8.
