Using the 300mm F2.8 for Beer League Hockey

I don't know how photographers get by without a 300mm F2.8. I know this sounds arrogant but this is the greatest lens for 35mm/digital based photography. I love the way if drops the background just to tone in portraits but more importantly I love how it compresses the image and brings you right into the photo.

It's my favourite lens for assignment work by far and I've used it for countless games. Tonight I was shooting my sons Beer League hockey game and got a few good shots of him playing net. I just love the way this lens gets you into the action.

Which lens has become your favourite?
