Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to work I go

I'm going to quit complaining about working all the time.
My new outlook is "get over it".

Let's be honest, I do photography for a living, how hard can it be.

The toughest thing I ever did in my life was hike the "Great Wall" in China. We hiked all day, uphill, both ways, or so it seemed. All in all we covered 30 of the guard towers. The area was crumbling rock so it was hard hiking.

After hiking for five hours I came across these guys working on the wall. They were hiking all day as well. Of course they were carrying loads of rocks and bricks on their back's.
This photo was taken with the Sony HX1 Cybershot. What a great little camera for travelling, even if you do have to carry it all day.

  1. Rob, which section of the wall were you visiting?

My last trip to China had me finally visit the Wall. It was a relatively busy spot in Wutianyu.

Just getting up there was gruelling. I empathize with you a lot.

  2. We were about two hours outside of Beijing. We started in one National Park and finished in another six hours later.

Not many people at the first area but the finish was busy and is very popular. There was a huge magazine shoot right at the end of the hike... which I watched for a while.
