The NewYorker is continuing with the theme of street photography and have posted a short video on Mary Ellen Mark.
For the most part Mary Ellen seems out of the limelight these past few years. I remember attending news conferences years ago in Toronto where she was a speaker. I think Kodak brought her in to speak. She was certainly one of the big time photographers 20 years ago, and I always admired her work.
On her website she has work done with the 20x24 polaroid camera and still does portrait sittings. It's $20,000 for the sitting ... in case you had money left over from Christmas.
