Returning to the same well

I often go back to the same spot to try and get a better picture.
I've been to this spot a number of times over the last few years. It's a river crossing in Algonquin Park. Maybe a half hour hike from the main campground. I've been there in spring, summer and the dead of winter.

It always looks great, but I feel there's a better images still to be made at this spot.

This is the best I've come up with so far. This was taken on an 8x10 camera with a Fuji 300mm C lens and an O40 filter from B+W to try and get some tone in the sky.
