Each day I was in Wuxi I walked from the apartment to the elevator and walked past this group of bikes in the hallway. We were staying right across from a construction site so the dust was relentless. I noticed the dust building up on these bikes each day. I don't think you could even ride them you would be covered in dirt before you got to the main road.
I think I photographed these bikes three or four times over the days I was there.... this is the one I like best.
It was shot with the Zeiss Ikon rangefinder using the 35mm F2 lens with Ilford Delta 100 film. The 22x16 silver print is $800.
