White Balance... It seems to be warm at f4 and wider, and notably colder at f8. Looks very much like the difference between "shade" and "daylight" settings in camera when you show the two photos side by side.

I noticed this for a few of the lenses tested, not just this Zeiss... Anyone else seeing this? Nex7 pre-production firmware issue maybe?GJohnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05284285952189261841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8704223492903415013.post-65071910792351218442011-10-10T21:06:42.920-04:002011-10-10T21:06:42.920-04:00It's so hard to tell. Although the other lenses aren't that old in design, a lot has changed in the last three years and the latest design shows the proof.

Of course the lens is huge which defeats the whole purpose of the system. LOL.

-robPhotography as I see ithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03861238451901078306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8704223492903415013.post-21299835932842391882011-10-10T20:53:11.412-04:002011-10-10T20:53:11.412-04:00Thanks for posting this series! So it looks like the Nikon mount may suffer from reduced vignetting compared to the ZM glass at a comparable focal length - would you expect that to be the case carried over to other lenses in the Nikon mount?

Certainly the longer ZM glass looked great / not too troubled by light fall off.Mike Watkinshttp://mikewatkins.ca/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8704223492903415013.post-48523980937217926532011-10-10T19:40:42.027-04:002011-10-10T19:40:42.027-04:00You can find the hi-rez file here....
